MHNI Expands Physical Therapy Program

Michigan Headache & Neurological Institute (MHNI) is excited to announce the recruitment of Andrea Sherman, PT, DPT, who joined MHNI at the beginning of June. Dr. Sherman will be working for MHNI on a full-time basis, which provides the opportunity to expand the service hours of the PT Division and provide physical therapy Monday through Friday versus only on select days.

Dr. Sherman earned her doctorate in physical therapy from Wayne State University in 2007. Prior to joining MHNI, Dr. Sherman worked for many years in the Henry Ford Health System as an orthopedic and sports rehabilitation specialist. She places a high importance on manual intervention and individualized care with a distinct interest in helping individuals with headache and TMJ pain and dysfunction. Dr. Sherman is currently pursuing craniofacial pain certification (CFC) through the University of St. Augustine. When not at work, she enjoys time with her family, reading, hiking, and kayaking.

Ellen Lecureux, PT, who worked for MHNI on a part-time basis left the Institute in mid-June to pursue other interests. MHNI would like to thank Ellen for her many years of service and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.

Dr. Sherman (Andrea) worked closely with Ellen during the weeks prior to her departure to ensure a smooth transition. If you are a former patient of Ms. Lecureux, we are confident that you will develop as much faith and trust in Andrea as you had in Ellen; we find Andrea to be highly skilled and personable.
