This web site was developed to provide you with a wide range of information about headaches and other painful disorders. The site is sponsored by the Michigan Headache & Neurological Institute (MHNI) and the Head Pain Association of Michigan (HPAM), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational and support services for headache sufferers and their families throughout Michigan and the surrounding regions.

Pain is a seriously underrated and overlooked public health problem, with at least 40 million Americans suffering from headache and another 50 - 100 million Americans suffering from other forms of pain. In the MHNI Web site you can learn about services provided by MHNI and HPAM. In addition, you will find answers to frequently asked questions about headaches and related disorders, research study opportunities, and links to other resources on the World Wide Web.

The MHNI Web site will be updated frequently, and we encourage you to visit us often. We view you as a partner in enhancing our site and encourage you to provide specific areas of interest or topics that you would like addressed in future web site presentations.
