The 21st Annual Update in Headache & Pain Management: A Review Course for Clinicians will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at The Henry in Dearborn, Michigan. Based on past conference attendance, it is expected that approximately 400 healthcare professionals will attend. The purpose of the symposium is to address expressed and demonstrated educational needs of physicians and other health care professionals who evaluate and treat patients in pain at the primary care level.
The program is organized by MHNI and co-sponsored by Michigan State Medical Society and Michigan Pharmacists Association and is approved for 8.0 hours AMA PRA Category 1 creditsTM and ACPE credit.
The program will focus on clinical knowledge, with an emphasis on clinical perspectives and treatment strategies for commonly encountered painful disorders, including: primary and secondary headache disorders, facial pain disorders, myofascial pain, fibromyalgia, post-concussion headache, and other chronic pain disorders
The program is primarily for general and family practitioners, internists, physician specialists interested in headache/pain management, pharmacists, dentists, psychologists, physical therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and registered nurses. Content is designed to benefit a broad range of practitioner experience levels, from beginner to advanced.
Numerous opportunities for question and answer sessions with the faculty will be available. Additionally, attendees are invited to bring their own cases to present before the expert panel.
